This is a special 2014 repress from Get On Down. When 'Lord Willin'' first came out, it made a huge splash. The Neptunes' beats and Pharell in the video really boosted the Clipse's popularity. In fact, the Neptunes and the Clipse defined each other's sounds. The youthful, understated delivery of the Clipse was a perfect match for the punchy Neptunes production. Just listen to the first two singles 'Grindin' and 'When the Last Time' - they're some of the freshest tracks in hip - hop. It may not be the best hip - hop album of the year, but it's hard to resist when it hits right. Tracks like 'I'm Not You' with the Lox and Roscoe P. Coldchain, and 'Comedy Central' with Fabolous show multiple angles over the moody Neptunes beats. The Clipse might lack some vocal charisma on their own, but when paired with Pharell, Faith, or other collaborators, the formula works great. This double vinyl also includes bonus tracks like 'Grindin Remix' with Nore and Cash Money, and 'Grindin Selector Remix' with Sean Paul, Bless, and Kardinal Offishall. It comes as a black double vinyl pressing from the music label Get On Down in 2014. Reviewed by the mgmnt in 08/2005.
