Description

Dive into the sophomore studio album of rock pioneer Brian Eno. 'Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)', first recorded in 1974, is a captivating concept album. It's inspired by a set of postcards from a Chinese revolutionary opera of the same name. Eno collaborated with a top - notch group of musicians including Phil Manzanera from Roxy Music, Brian Turrington and Freddie Smith of The Winkies, and former Soft Machine vocalist Robert Wyatt. Here, Eno also developed his famous Oblique Strategies cards with his friend Peter Schmidt. The music is both diverse and experimental, featuring proto - punk elements, quirky lyrics, and an overall upbeat vibe. The album includes hits like 'Third Uncle', 'Burning Airlines Give You So Much More', and 'Back In Judy's Jungle', with a total of ten tracks. This release comes on black vinyl, has a remastered sound, a gatefold sleeve, and was originally released in 1974. The music label is Astralwerks 2017. Reviewed in 09/2017 by lipstick and lashes.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, simply place it on your turntable, lower the needle gently onto the start of the record, and let the music play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on the record, which can affect the sound quality. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. If you want to clean the vinyl, use a soft, anti - static brush to gently remove dust. The gatefold sleeve is part of the charm, so be careful when opening and closing it to avoid any tears. And that's all you need to know to keep this classic album in great shape and enjoy it for years to come.
