Trained under Kenny Burrell at UCLA, Kiefer brings a unique musical touch to 'Happysad'. The album focuses on the intertwined nature of joy and sadness, much like the endearing pugs on its cover. Throughout 'Happysad', Kiefer creates a gorgeously melancholic grand - piano mood with a sharp edge.
