Bobby Hutcherson: Happenings Vinyl LP

Another great release from Blue Note! This is Bobby Hutcherson's first quartet venture. He wrote six out of the seven tracks, delivering a Post/Hard Bop sound similar to Herbie Hancock's work around the same time. Hancock plays the piano, Hutcherson takes on the vibes, Bob Cranshaw is on bass, and the amazing Joe Chambers handles drums and percussion. Recorded in 1966 at Van Gelder's church, it's a fine addition to the Blue Note archive, important to the movement even if it's not the most iconic in the catalog. Music label: Blue Note. To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable, and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the record. Listen to the amazing Post/Hard Bop music created by Bobby Hutcherson and his talented band. When you're done, lift the tonearm carefully and return it to its rest. Store the vinyl in its sleeve and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. Handle the vinyl by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface.
