The self - titled debut album of the well - known rock band Blind Melon hit the shelves in 1992. It features the hit single 'No Rain'. Led by singer Shannon Hoon, who also did backing vocals on Guns N Roses' Use Your Illusion I and II, the band had a unique sound influenced by southern and psychedelic rock. Tracks like 'Soak The Sin' and 'Tones Of Home' blend hard rock with a funky edge, 'Time' is in the style of Grateful Dead's improvisational music, and acoustic numbers such as 'Change' and 'No Rain' show pop and folk influences.
