This previously unreleased 1954 live performance by Billie Holiday and the Buddy DeFranco Quartet has been remastered and is now available. As part of Jazzline's 'WDR The Cologne Broadcast Series', it takes you back to the 'Jazz Club USA' package tour in Europe. In January 1954, they visited multiple countries. It was Billie Holiday's first European tour, and there's a rumor that she was beaten by her husband before the Cologne show, leading her to wear dark - sunglasses on stage. The album features amazing renditions of Billie's classics like 'I Cover The Waterfront' and Buddy DeFranco's bebop tunes such as 'Sweet Georgia Brown'. There are also 2 bonus tracks with star - studded line - ups. The 13 - track album comes in a gatefold sleeve. It's an 180g vinyl double LP with liner notes, remastered from the original recording, and includes a printed inner sleeve with lyrics. Released by Jazzline in 2019.

This is a vinyl LP, so to use it, you'll need a record player. Just place the vinyl gently on the turntable, lower the needle onto the groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or fingerprints on it, which could affect the sound quality. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place and keep it upright to prevent warping. The gatefold sleeve and inner sleeve are delicate, so handle them carefully to avoid tearing. Enjoy this amazing collection of live jazz music from 1954!
