Beastie Boys: Some Old Bullshit (180g) Vinyl LP

Early Beastie Boys hardcore music is back on 180g vinyl! Just a few years before Rick Rubin made them multi - platinum with Licensed To Ill, the Beastie Boys were punk rebels in the L.E.S. hardcore scene. Formed from The Young Aborigines, they started as a quartet with Kate Schellenbach on drums. You could see them play with Bad Brains and Reagan Youth at famous punk spots like CBGBs. The album Some Old Bullshit combines early punk tracks from their 1982 EP Polly Wog Stew, their first hip - hop single Cooky Puss, and two demos from Tim Sommer's radio program. It's got 14 tracks on 180g vinyl with a folded liner note insert. Features include an 180g black vinyl pressing, a printed foldout insert, it's back on vinyl for the first time since 1994, and it's from the Grand Royal label in 2020. Reviewed by SHH! in 06/2021.
