Founder Barrie Lindsey says the album is about moving to New York and finding bandmates, discovered through Brooklyn's The Lot Radio and Tinder. They complement each other creatively. Co - produced by Jake Aron (known for work with Snail Mail, Beth Orton, Jamie Lidell), this record is a well - curated indie pop mix. 'Darjeerling' starts with distant claps and lively guitar, while 'Saturated' has a sunny Casio beat and hazy vocals.
