Achieving musical transcendence is a rare feat, and Seattle's Band of Horses knows this well. Guitarist/vocalist Ben Bridwell and bassist Mat Brooke formed the band in 2004 after their previous band, Carissa's Wierd, disbanded. Carissa's Wierd was known for its sad yet beautiful orchestral pop about heartbreak and loss. Band of Horses emerged from its ashes. After playing together for over a decade, Bridwell and Brooke reunited when Bridwell started developing new compositions. 'It was a natural thing,' says Bridwell. With Bridwell's warm, reverb - heavy vocals that blend Wayne Coyne, Brian Wilson, and Doug Martsch, the band's woodsy, dreamy songs are full of tension, longing, and hope. 'Everything All The Time' is an album with stunning highs and lows. This 2006 debut from the Seattle folk - rock band comes on black vinyl with a printed insert. It also includes a digital download and is from the Sub Pop label.
