Bassist Jasper Verhulst founded Altin Gun to express his love for Turkish folk and psychedelia. 'Gece' follows their 2018 hit debut 'On'. This album draws on Anatolian rock and folk from the late 60s and 70s, offering explosive, funky, and transcendent psych - rock for today's listeners. It's an electrifying listen with fresh grooves and gritty psychedelic textures. The band reimagines the sounds they cover, making them their own. Vocals by Erdinc Ecevit and Merve Dasdemir are seductive over an instrumental blend of saz, keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums. Altin Gun's interpretations of Turkey's musical heritage (except 'Sofor Bey') shine on tracks like 'Yolcu', 'Supurgesi Yoncadan', 'Leyla', and 'Kolbasti'.
