King Pari is an almost accidental musical project. Cameron Kinghorn and DJ Stepmom didn't plan to start a band. When Joe (DJ Stepmom) texted Cameron some jams from his tape - machine, Cameron was eager to join. Just ten minutes before their first meeting, Joe created the loop for their first single, 'Sunshine', and they wrote it on the spot with a burst of collective inspiration. The rest of their upcoming 'MARY EP' was recorded in Joe's Northeast Minneapolis bedroom, a guest house in New Orleans, and a cabin in rural Wisconsin. Minneapolis has a clear influence, with a fresh psychedelic take on Prince and the Minneapolis Sound. Their music has been described as stonersoul, lo - fi R&B, a blend of dub and 80s electro with a heavy dose of funk. Look out for their second single 'Come Inside' on PPU in early 2021. This product comes as a pink 7' colored vinyl with a full - color pic sleeve. The music is under the labels King Pari Music / Peoples Potential Unlimited 2021.
