Two leading forces in Texas music, Khruangbin and Leon Bridges, have released the Texas Moon EP, a follow - up to their 2020 hit Texas Sun project. This second collaboration further expands the region's musical horizons. The five new tracks continue the journey from the first EP but have a unique identity. Bridges describes it as'more introspective,' and Khruangbin's bassist Laura Lee says it 'feels more night time.' Working together has clearly influenced both acts' musical directions. Khruangbin's Mordechai album brought their vocals more to the front, a change due to working with Bridges. Meanwhile, Bridges has been busy with other genre - bending projects. The Texas Moon EP is a rare and genuine achievement, a true collaboration between two innovative acts. This release comes as a black vinyl pressing and includes a digital download. It's from the music label Dead Oceans in 2022.
