Description

Thanks to Shota's iPod, we discovered this amazing album. Young London-based producer James Blake brings a fresh take on post-dubstep and future beats in CMYK. He chops up samples from 90s R&B hits by Kelis and Aaliyah, then transforms them into something almost unrecognizable while still keeping the emotion. Check out the title track 'CMYK' to feel it. There's plenty of glitch and twitchiness, along with deep, lush chords that create his unique, futuristic sound. The album has an emotive, melodic vibe throughout, and each track is distinct. Like 'Footnotes' with the vocoder, 'I'll Stay' with stuttering vocals, and the laid-back swing of 'Postpone'. Don't miss this talent. Recommended. Music label: R&S 2010. Reviewed by Von Bee.

To enjoy this album, simply play it on your music player. You can listen to it while relaxing at home, during a commute, or when working out. There aren't really any special things to note, just sit back and let the music flow. As for maintenance, if you have it in a digital format, make sure to back it up regularly. If it's a physical copy, keep it in a cool, dry place and handle it gently to avoid scratches.
