Description

This is the debut studio album from Beat Generation pioneer Jack Kerouac. 'Poetry for the Beat Generation' was recorded in one session in 1958, the first of three albums from this iconoclastic novelist. After performing at the Village Vanguard, TV star Steve Allen brought Kerouac to the studio. Allen's piano is the perfect match for Kerouac's spoken - word delivery. Kerouac's monotone has jazz - inflected articulation, flowing smoothly over Allen's nimble piano playing. You can clearly see the influence of this Beat poet on artists like Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Jim Morrison, and David Bowie. There are 14 tracks in total. Released by Real Gone Music on limited edition Beatnik Smoke vinyl in a full - color sleeve. Only 900 copies available! Music label: Real Gone Music 2017. Reviewed by City Lighter 04/2017.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on your record player, gently drop the needle on the start of the groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or fingerprints on it. Keep the vinyl away from direct sunlight and heat, as these can warp the record. After each use, store the vinyl back in its full - color sleeve to protect it from dust. And remember, since it's a limited edition with only 900 copies, take extra care of this unique piece of music history.
