Description

By special demand, Stones Throw presents Dilla's beat sketch masterpiece 'Donuts' on double black vinyl with the iconic'smile' cover originally used for the CD. When 'Donuts' first arrived, a quick listen was all it got as I rushed home for 'Lost'. But after J Dilla's passing, I truly grasped the power of this record. Here's the original review. Rest in peace, Mr. Yancey: Everyone, from backpackers to top - tier producers, knows Dilla is a legend, and 'Donuts' just cements that. With 31 brand - new beats from the master, these instrumentals, under 2 minutes each, are full - bodied and form a unified piece. It's a fresh statement for an old pro, and it's a must - have. Features: alternate'smile' cover from the CD, black double vinyl, originally released in 2006 by Stones Throw in 2012. Reviewed by Chris Lemon - Red in 02/2006. Also available: J Dilla's 'Donuts' with Donut Cover Vinyl 2LP, 'Donuts' Cassette, and Stones Throw's Turntable Lab Selects The Hits Of The 21st Century Colored Vinyl 8LP Boxset.

To use this J Dilla 'Donuts' vinyl, just place it on your turntable and gently drop the needle on the starting groove. Enjoy the amazing beats as they play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on the record. Store it in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it in a circular motion from the outer edge to the center. And remember, always handle the record by the edges to avoid scratching the playing surface.
