Damon Albarn said, 'I literally made it on the road. It's like a diary of my American experience.' He recorded The Fall on the Gorillaz tour bus during stops, using just an iPad and basic outboard gear. This is the most electronic - sounding Gorillaz record so far, with moody downtempo synthscapes and sparse 808 snaps. 'Detroit' could pass for a Neptunes production. There are fewer guest appearances than usual, but they're all high - profile. Albarn sings most of the vocals, with a solo from the late Bobby Womack in 'Bobby In Phoenix'. Mick Jones of The Clash plays guitar on 'Hillbilly Man', and Paul Simonon plays bass on 'Aspen Forest'. The Fall had a short vinyl run in the UK in 2011 and was out of print until Record Store Day 2019. Now, it's widely available on black vinyl. Features include a black vinyl pressing, a printed inner sleeve, and it's from the Parlophone label in 2019. Reviewed by Diper911 in 08/2019.

Using your Gorillaz: The Fall vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on a turntable and start the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on the record. To keep it in good condition, store it upright in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures as this can warp the vinyl. If you notice any dust on the record, use a vinyl brush to gently clean it before playing.
