Description

Fumio Miyashita, a renowned Japanese musician, music therapist, and pioneer of Healing Music, had a remarkable career. Starting in 1966, he formed prog - rock groups like Far Out and Fear East Family Band and even appeared in the Tokyo performance of Hair in 1969. His interest in oriental philosophy led him to explore oriental medicine after an acupuncture experience. In 1977, he moved to the US for music therapy research and returned to Japan in 1981. He set up Biwa Studio in the Shinshu Iizuna Highlands. He self - produced and released left - field electronic music focused on healing and relaxation. Before his passing in 2003 after creating over 130 works, he left behind many great pieces. Wave, one of his early releases from 1983, features tracks like “Mother Earth” with soothing synth tones, “Breath” with spine - tingling leads, and “Wave” with sparkling layers of keys. This red - colored vinyl is a limited - edition release, making its first appearance on vinyl, under the label Personal Affair 2019. Reviewed by PEACH MILK in 10/2019.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on a compatible turntable and let the needle gently rest on the grooves. You can enjoy the beautiful music that Fumio Miyashita created. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on it. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. If it gets dirty, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the vinyl. Also, be careful when removing and inserting it into the sleeve to prevent scratches.
