Before William Bevan started posting selfies on Hyperdub's site, the mysterious producer was rumored to be a pseudonym of Kevin Martin (The Bug), alongside Basic Channel and Kode9. We loved Burial's recent collabs with Four Tet, Zomby, and Thom Yorke, but this one stands out. Two dubstep - fringe artists, Martin with his soundsystem - rooted heavyweight style and Burial with his UK Garage - influenced sound, team up for a dreamy session. For the past 5 or 6 years, both have surprised fans, but this collab sounds just as you'd hope. Martin's intense dance beats are as lethal as in 'Poison Dart', and Burial's signature pirate - crackle and rain - soaked atmosphere makes it even better. It's the missing link between Mala and O'Malley you never knew you needed. This double a - side 12 - inch single is released on Kevin Martin's Pressure label and comes in a custom die - cut jacket.
