Happiness is set to be even more successful. In a chat with Lab's Zephyr Ann, Escobar said he mixed all his musical influences, just like last time. The 10 - track album is filled with tunes inspired by early house and golden - era disco. Nomi Ruiz, a frequent collaborator and NY/Lab favorite, lends her vocals at key moments. Tracks like “Phreeky” (featuring Vanessa Daou) and “Can't Stop Dancing” show great chemistry between the artists. “In The Dark” is a jazzy house number, and “4 Luv” with Ruiz's help is beautiful. “Chaka Khan” stands out, and don't miss the uplifting title track or “Miss My Luv”. “Winter's Anthem” is super hypnotic. This double vinyl LP is the second album from the NY dj/producer, released by Classic in 2016. Highly recommended!
