Description

The Denon DP-400 is an upgraded version of the best-selling DP-300F turntable. It's a belt-drive turntable with a built-in phono preamp that can be switched on or off. The S-shaped tonearm comes with a pre-mounted cartridge, a removable headshell, anti-skate control, and a tonearm lift lever. The Auto-Stop function lifts the tonearm and turns off the motor at the end of a record, and it can be disabled. It offers 33, 45, and 78 rpm speed playback, controlled by a knob. The detachable RCA cable and power cord make it convenient. Its unique dustcover design has a stand for storage during use and can also display album covers. With a high gloss finish, a plastic metal-weighted body, and a cast aluminum platter, it looks great. You can upgrade to an Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge for better sound quality and get a free Lab Pack worth $30. Key features include a 2.5 mV / 1 kHz rated output, 0.10% wow & flutter, a DSN-85 stylus, dimensions of 16.2(w) x 13.7(d) x 5.2(h) inches (411 x 348 x 132mm), and a weight of 12.4 lbs (5.6 kg). It comes with a pre-mounted Denon cartridge, a removable power cord, an RCA cable, a rubber record mat, a removable dust cover, and a dust cover stand.

Using the Denon DP-400 turntable is easy. First, connect the detachable RCA cable and power cord to the appropriate ports. You can choose the playback speed (33, 45, or 78 rpm) using the knob. Place your record on the platter with the rubber mat. If you want, you can adjust the anti-skate control on the tonearm. When the record is over, the Auto-Stop function will lift the tonearm and turn off the motor, but you can turn this function off if you prefer. To use the dustcover stand, simply place the dustcover on it when the turntable is in use. You can also use it to display your album cover. For maintenance, use the included Turntable Lab Carbon Fiber Brush to clean the record and the turntable regularly. Keep the turntable in a dry and clean place. If you choose the upgrade, the Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge will enhance your listening experience, but handle it with care as it's a delicate component.
