After the break - up of NYC avant - funk legends Liquid Liquid, founding member and percussionist Dennis Young (as Dennis Andrew) recorded new age albums released in limited cassette runs only in South Korea. In 2018, Seoul - based Daehan Electronics procured one of these albums, 'Quest', for its first official global release. This album is soothing, therapeutic, and introspective, far from Liquid Liquid's funky style. But listen closely to 'Cavern' or 'Optimo', and you'll hear the essence of 'Quest'. 'Pathway' sets the mood, while 'Mirage' and 'Voices (Within)' are highlights, filled with Young's calming incantations. It comes with a fold - out insert having archival photos and Young's notes on album creation.
