Description

When I listen to Crumb, I imagine cows and barns swirling in a tornado like the scene in The Wizard Of Oz. This LP combines Crumb's first two self - released cassette EPs from 2017. Initially, these EPs were only available at the band's shows. Occasionally, a small number appeared in their online store, only to disappear and resurface on second - hand sites at a high price. The self - titled EP on side A blends jazz, psych, and indie rock. Lila Ramani's voice on “Bones” and “So Tired” is both bluesy and twee, while “Vinta” shows the band's jazz skills before shifting to a psych mode. On the Locket EP, the band makes great progress, with more captivating grooves and an intoxicating atmosphere in each track. “Locket” stands out with a killer bassline and excellent production. “Recently Played” is cool and relaxed, and “Thirty Nine” is a long psychedelic jam. It kind of reminds you of early Blonde Redhead, recent King Krule, or the Toro/Mattson 2 album. This is the first wide release of the two EPs, pressed back - to - back on a single LP with full - color artwork on both sides of the sleeve. It's a black vinyl pressing from Crumb Records 2021, originally released in 2017. Highly recommended.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on your record player, gently drop the needle on the start of the groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the LP, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on the vinyl, which can affect the sound quality. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep it in its sleeve when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches. If the LP gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently clean the grooves. This will help maintain the best sound quality over time.
