I've always wondered why on Ultimate Breaks and Beats they added the last second of 'Runaway' to the start of 'I Wouldn't Change A Thing.' On the LP, the transition doesn't feel in - beat, but it might have been an old - school DJ trick. This album has been on my wishlist since early on. It's a really great album, and 'Runaway' is an absolute gem. The lyrics are simple and sweet, never cheesy. The guitar, sax, and that cool open hi - hat (sorry if it's a ride, I'm not good with instruments) hold the beat perfectly. I love the idea of a breakbeat that b - boys can play through and is also a sad love song. From the start, I was drawn to these kinds of records, not hard funk 45s or deep jazz, but dancey and sad tunes. The live version of 'Home Is Where The Hatred Is' is a masterpiece. If you don't have this record, it's a must - have. It's a 1976 original, re - released by Music On Vinyl in 2022 on 180g black vinyl. Reviewed by Roctakon in 04/2020.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on your turntable, carefully drop the needle on the start of the record, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on it, which could affect the sound quality. After each use, put the record back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a vinyl cleaning solution and a soft brush to gently clean it. But be careful not to press too hard on the grooves. This way, you can keep enjoying the great music of Coke Escovedo for a long time.
