Caribou takes to the intergalactic dance - floor on his latest release. After a long wait, 'Our Love' marks the comeback of Dan Snaith's Caribou project. In recent releases, Snaith focused on his alter - ego Daphni, shifting from mind - moving music to music that gets people physically dancing. His psychedelic past mostly takes a backseat on this album, with only occasional glimpses of 'Up In Flames' and a tiny bit of 'Start Breaking My Heart'. For the most part, it's a new, boiler - room friendly Caribou. If there was an electronic music fantasy team, we'd pick Toro Y Moi, Jamie XX, Four Tet, and Aphex Twin... and this album makes us think Caribou had the same idea. This vinyl is cut at half - speed, pressed on 180g pink vinyl, and comes with a download coupon. It's a limited - edition US pressing with half - speed mastering, a printed insert, and is released by City Slang in 2023. Highly recommended.
