Ever wondered what the sound of machines breathing is like? Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow of Portishead fame answer this question with their amazing soundtrack for the sci - fi film Ex Machina. This double LP features long ambient soundscapes, swelling pads, ominous drones, other - worldly melodies, and a couple of krautrock - style tunes similar to Barrow's BEAK> project. It's their first official score, a great piece of work (their Dredd movie score in 2012 was unused). The pressing includes the full soundtrack, bonus material like early demo versions and unused tracks. It comes on limited compound grey vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with a download code.
