In 2009, Cage the Elephant made a splash with their self - titled debut, especially the hit 'Ain't No Rest for the Wicked,' hailed as saviors of slacker funk - punk. In 2011, 'Thank You Happy Birthday' started the year with a bang of intense rock & roll. In 2014, three years after their last release, they dropped the third studio album 'Melophobia.' Facing the challenge of unifying five people's ideas, they spent nearly a year writing individually. They then got together at St. Charles Studio in Nashville with producer Jay Joyce in August 2012. 'Melophobia' features vivid and thoughtful rock songs, capturing the band's raw energy, playfulness, and their knack for intimate music. It's a black vinyl pressing with a printed inner sleeve, released by RCA in 2019.
