Beirut's 2011 third studio album, The Rip Tide, marks a home - bound musical journey. Zach Condon takes listeners back to the hometown, unlike his previous works about foreign lands, as heard in 'Santa Fe'. This was also the first time the band recorded live together. The LP comes with 9 tracks in a hardcover cloth sleeve and includes a free MP3 download card. It's released under the Pompeii music label in 2011. Reviewed by TKB in 12/2014.
