As my buddy Reggae Monkey would say, it's a blast! This is a classic early work from Barrington Levy in 1979. Produced by Junjo at Channel One with Roots Radics, and mixed by Scientist and Jammy. It's huge. Start with the title track 'Englishman' and you'll be hooked. 'If You Give To Me' is one of the top - selling reggae 45s at our lab. 'Sister Carol' on the Pass the Koutchie riddim is a sweet one. There's more great stuff like 'Look Youth Man' and the crazy intro of 'Send A Moses'. My favorite, 'Money Makes Friends', a riff on Coco Tea's 'Rocking Dolly', is just devastating. It has ten crisply remastered songs from the original tapes. It's a black vinyl pressing and released by Greensleeves in 2007. Reviewed by monk in April 2007.

To use this vinyl LP, just place it on your record player's turntable, gently drop the needle on the start of the record, and enjoy the great reggae music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt on the record. Keep the LP in its sleeve when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently clean the grooves. Don't expose it to direct sunlight for long periods as it may damage the vinyl.
