Description

The Audio-Technica AT-LP8X is a top - notch audiophile direct - drive turntable. It's belt - less, with high torque and low maintenance. The semi - automatic feature is great as the tonearm lift raises the tonearm at the end of a record and stops the motor, reducing stylus wear. It comes with a pre - mounted Audio - Technica AT - VM95E cartridge on a lightweight AT - LT10 headshell, and you can upgrade it with any VM95 stylus. The J - shaped tonearm has adjustable anti - skating and VTA. The feet are height - adjustable, and the damped base cuts down low - frequency feedback. You can select 33 1/3, 45, and 78 rpm speeds for playback. It also includes a removable dustcover. Note that an external phono preamp is required. This model steps up from the AT - LP5X with a more premium MDF wood body, an improved tonearm, and new semi - automatic operation, perfect for high - quality vinyl play.

Using the Audio - Technica AT - LP8X turntable is easy. First, make sure you have an external phono preamp connected as it's required for this model. Place your vinyl record on the die - cast aluminum platter. Adjust the height of the feet to make the turntable level. Set the speed to 33 1/3, 45, or 78 rpm according to your record. The semi - automatic function will lift the tonearm at the end of the record and stop the motor, just let it do its job. When it comes to maintenance, keep the removable dustcover on when not in use to protect the turntable from dust. You can upgrade the stylus on the AT - VM95E cartridge when needed. And always handle the turntable gently to avoid any damage to the internal components.
