Description

In 1958, 'Moanin' by Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers was a masterpiece. With great musicians like drummer Art Blakey, trumpeter Lee Morgan, tenor saxophonist Benny Golson, pianist Bobby Timmons, and bassist Jymie Merritt, it perfectly captured the band's bluesy and soulful sound. It's perhaps the most classic hard bop recording ever. Originally self - titled, it was renamed 'Moanin' because of Timmons' hit opening track. The album also introduced Golson's great compositions like 'Along Came Betty' and 'Blues March'. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is all - analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from original tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal. It's from Blue Note Records 2020. Features include 180g black vinyl, all - analog remaster from original tapes, and performances by the amazing musicians.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the groove. Sit back and enjoy the high - quality analog sound. When handling the record, hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface. After use, store the vinyl in its sleeve and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This will help maintain the quality of the record and ensure you can enjoy it for years to come.
