Ami Shavit: In Alpha Mood Vinyl LP

Ami Shavit, a reclusive Israeli multimedia artist into philosophy, technology, and sound, created 'In Alpha Mood'. The music on this record, inspired by biofeedback theory and practice, aims to evoke a calm, relaxed, and meditative mood linked to alpha brain waves. While it may sound like New Age ideology today, it was an accidental result of Shavit's sound experiments. The album was made using late 60s and 70s synthesizer technology, along with Shavit's unique 'Alpha Mood' meditative technique. Shavit combined his love for electronic music acts like Tangerine Dream and Philip Glass, new synthesizer tech, and biofeedback. With little formal musical training and working away from the Tel Aviv music scene, he recorded hours of experimental improvised music over two years. Only 500 copies were initially pressed and sold at a local Tel Aviv record shop, making it a super rare find. Thanks to Finders Keepers, these experimental sounds are back.
