In 1975, Brooklyn - based Pepe Willie went to Cookhouse Recording Studios in Minneapolis to record demos of five original songs. With no local backing group, he gathered a young team of musicians, including 16 - year - old guitar genius Prince Rogers Nelson. These recordings, known as 'The Cookhouse 5', feature Prince's distinct guitar playing, adding a perfect touch to 94 East's brief yet charming song collection. It's a key record for the origins of the Minneapolis Sound. The B - side has instrumental versions, giving a great view of Prince's expressive style even in his teens. This is an early recording from a 1975 Minnesota funk & soul group with Prince on guitar. It comes on gold colored vinyl, has instrumentals on side B, and is housed in a deluxe foil - stamped sleeve. Music label: Numero Group 2021.
