Marcos Valle's career began as bossa nova faded. A true music adventurer, he rode the last wave of the international bossa nova trend, briefly visiting the U.S. before returning to his beloved Rio de Janeiro. He's no stranger to Los Angeles, having recorded a solo album and been part of Sergio Mendes' group in the 60s. Decades later, he tried his luck in the U.S. again, befriending Chicago members and collaborating with Leon Ware. This collaboration with Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge is his first U.S. recording in nearly 50 years. Younge and Shaheed Muhammad drew inspiration from Valle's back catalog. If spontaneity and improvisation define jazz, this album is the closest to a jazz record in Valle's long discography. It's the 3rd volume of the Jazz Is Dead series, which also features Roy Ayers, Azymuth, Gary Bartz and more. The album comes on black vinyl, housed in a die - cut jacket with a printed inner sleeve. Music label: Jazz Is Dead 2020.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, simply place it on your record player. Make sure the needle is properly aligned before starting. When handling the vinyl, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface, as they can cause scratches and affect the sound quality. After use, gently place the record back in its inner sleeve and then into the die - cut jacket. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat, to keep the vinyl in good condition. Don't stack heavy objects on top of it, as this can warp the record.
