Stones Throw released this EP in 2004 while Madlib and DOOM were finalizing the highly - anticipated Madvillain LP, after the Money Folder 12 - inch. It features album tracks 'Curls' and 'All Caps', a remix of 'The Illest Villains', and an exclusive instrumental skit 'Scene Three'. In 2004, Blu Jemz said, 'It's looking like the Madvillainy album might outshine Jaylib.' Doom and Madlib's chemistry on this 12 - inch is undeniable. Madlib, The Beat Konductor, gets extra funky on 'All Caps' with chaotic jazz. Doom, Metal Face, delivers amazing vocals. 'Curls' has a 'Scooby Doo in the Caribbean' feel with steel drums and loopy organ. Doom's verse in 'Curls' is full of wordplay. 'The Illest Villains Remix' and 'Scene Three' are like extended intros and might not be on the album but are worth checking for Madlib fans. Instrumentals for 'All Caps' and 'Curls' are included. This is a black vinyl pressing from the Stones Throw label in 2021.
