Description

Light In The Attic's Pacific Breeze series has long been a go - to for Japanese music lovers. It offers a carefully selected collection of top - notch City Pop recordings from the '70s - '80s Japanese bubble era, which includes AOR, R&B, jazz fusion, funk, boogie, and disco. Pacific Breeze 3, covering 1975 - 1987, is the latest in this famous series, featuring rare gems. The appearance of Pizzicato Five shows the start of Shibuya - kei, and the influence of hip - hop and electro is clear in tracks like Miho Fujiwara's 'Heartbeat'. This volume is female - centric, with many tracks sung by well - known Japanese actresses and pop idols. You'll find techno - pop classics from Susan, Miharu Koshi, and Chiemi Manabe, alongside great funk from Atsuko Nina and Naomi Akimoto. Teresa Noda adds a sexy reggae touch. The genre range is wide, including jazz fusion from Parachute and Hiroyuki Namba, a synth fantasy from Osamu Shoji, and catchy pop from Makoto Matsushita and Chu Kosaka. This is a Turntable Lab exclusive with a 'blue ocean wave' colored double - vinyl pressing. It has remastered audio, a custom die - cut obi strip, full - color printed inner sleeves, extensive liner notes, and artist bios. It's a limited edition of 1000, released by Light In The Attic in 2023 (TTL Editions 106).

To use this vinyl record, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition.
