Description

Kavinsky has always been a mysterious figure in the music world. He first caught our eye in 2006 as a zombie who died in a Testarossa crash 20 years prior. After the success of Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive, Kavinsky's 'Nightcall,' produced by Guy - Manuel de Homem - Christo and featuring Lovefoxxx, became the movie's theme song, reaching a wider audience. His music is inspired by the countless movies he watched as a kid. OutRun is Kavinsky's first proper full - length album. It features reworked old tunes and a lot of new material. For long - time fans, the themes are familiar, but there are exciting twists. The album title refers to the Sega arcade game with a Ferrari Testarossa, and it has a strong Jan Hammer influence, feeling like an essential part of Kavinsky's story. There are surprises like 'Suburbia' featuring Havoc and the 80s anthem 'First Blood,' which still fit Kavinsky's style perfectly. It's another great chapter in the story of this mysterious zombie musician. Music label: Record Makers 2013. Reviewed by Michu Meszaros 03/2013.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on your record player, gently drop the needle on the groove, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or fingerprints on it. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, standing it upright in a record sleeve to prevent warping. If the record gets dusty, use a soft record brush to clean it before playing. That's all you need to do to keep this amazing album in great condition and keep enjoying Kavinsky's unique music.
