The KAB SpeedStrobe is a great upgrade over older strobe designs that depend on power line frequency. It's easy to use and can measure small errors. With 99.99% accuracy from its quartz - locked illuminator and being battery - operated, it works anywhere, no need for different 50 or 60 Hz versions. The disc is silk - screen printed on durable 20 mil PVC and shows actual speed numbers instead of bars. Just read the desired speed directly from the disc. It covers speeds from 16.66 to 90 RPM. You can measure accuracy up to 0.03% by timing the display drift over one minute.

Using the KAB SpeedStrobe Turntable Speed Tester is easy. First, place the 10' PVC stroboscopic disc on your turntable. Then, turn on the turntable and set it to the desired speed. Next, switch on the handheld strobe light. You can directly read the speed from the disc. Make sure to keep the strobe light at a proper angle for clear visibility. When it comes to the battery, the included 9V battery powers the strobe light. If the battery runs out, just replace it with a new 9V battery. As for maintenance, keep the disc clean and free from dust. You can gently wipe it with a soft cloth. Also, store the strobe light in a dry place to prevent damage. Remember, this tester can measure small errors, so if you notice any drift in the display, you can time it over one minute to check the accuracy.
