Description

This is a true jazz masterpiece! Released in 1959, 'Giant Steps' shows Coltrane on the verge of a new jazz era. It combines accessibility, soul, and increasing complexity. There's a strong sense of familiarity in this album, offering concrete touchstones in the abstract jazz world. Once you get familiar with it, parts of the album will trigger memory rushes and sensory illusions. This 60th anniversary limited edition comes with a full bonus LP of revelatory outtakes. It's a 180g black double vinyl pressing with stereo sound, featuring John Coltrane on tenor sax, Tommy Flanagan on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, Art Taylor on drums and more. The music label is Atlantic 2020. Highly recommended!

To use this vinyl record, first make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the start of the groove. Enjoy the music! When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After each use, return the record to its sleeve to protect it from dust. Store the record vertically in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a vinyl record cleaning brush to gently remove dust and debris.
