James Brown: Get On The Good Foot Vinyl 2LP

This is the first of 3 James Brown studio double albums. The highlight is the title track 'Get On The Good Foot,' half of which is a long breakdown. Check out J-Rocc's 'Sex Machine' mix for an unforgettable experience. Tracks like Parts 3 and 4 of 'My Part/Make It Funky' are also worth a listen. If you love the grown - and - sexy style, you'll enjoy mellow tracks from the smooth 'Dirty Harri' to the soulful 'Please Please.' 'Your Love Was Good for Me' shows James' power, and 'The Whole World Needs Liberation' is a political gem. However, the remake of 'Cold Sweat' is a bit weak. Overall, it's not JB's best but excellent by other standards. It's a 2019 double vinyl pressing on Polydor, with a gatefold sleeve. Features include a black double vinyl pressing, housed in a repro gatefold jacket, and the music label is Polydor 2019. Reviewed in 01/2007.
