Hildur Guonadottir: Joker Original Soundtrack (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

Director Todd Phillips chose Hildur Guonadottir early in the making of Joker after hearing her work in Sicario: Day of the Soladado. After reading the script, Guonadottir submitted sample compositions with simple, monotonic melodies. The music matches the gritty plot and the portrayal of antagonist Arthur Fleck. She used orchestration to develop her initial ideas, focusing on textures and feel. The soundtrack complements Fleck's descent into madness. Highlights include 'Escape From the Train', 'Hoyt's Office', etc., but it's best enjoyed as a whole. This is a limited - edition purple vinyl with a printed insert. It was originally released in 2019 and is under the Watertower Music label in 2024. Reviewed by singing in japanese in 10/2020.
