Originally launched in March 2014, v2.0 was the breakthrough album of nu-jazz trio GoGo Penguin. It introduced a new line - up with Nick Blacka on bass, Chris Illingworth on piano, and Rob Turner on drums. This album was short - listed for the 2014 Mercury Prize, alongside works from Damon Albarn, Young Fathers, and Jungle. It artfully blends jazz, techno, hip - hop, and dubstep, offering a fresh take on the piano trio sound in the 21st century. Three highly skilled improvisers with deep jazz roots crafted this album. The record comes as a transparent green double vinyl pressing in a gatefold sleeve. It was originally released in 2014 and re - issued by Gondwana Records in 2023. Also available are Matthew Halsall & The Gondwana Orchestra's When The World Was One on 2LP vinyl and Matthew Halsall's Colour Yes on colored vinyl LP.

Using this vinyl record is easy. Just place it on a turntable, gently drop the needle on the groove, and enjoy the amazing music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on it. Always store the record in its gatefold sleeve when not in use to protect it from scratches and dust. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, use a proper vinyl cleaning solution and a soft brush to clean it gently in a circular motion. Don't forget to clean the turntable needle regularly too for the best sound quality.
