'Achromat is the next step from the original acrylic interface invented in 1979. With continuous improvements in composition and use, Achromat is now more versatile and better. It's the perfect material to absorb energy from the record. There's nothing better. At only 5mm thick, the millions of tiny bubbles inside create complex paths where energy turns into heat.' - Funk Firm

Using your Funk Firm Achromat 5mm Turntable Platter Mat is easy. Just place it on top of your turntable's platter. It's designed to stick, so it will stay in place well. For turntables with VTA or tonearm height adjustment, this standard 5mm version will work great. If you have a Technics SL - 1500c, it's highly recommended, and there's also an SL - 1200 edition. When it comes to maintenance, keep it clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the polymer construction with those energy - absorbing bubbles. And since it has a great anti - static design, it'll keep your records in good shape. Remember, it's imported from the UK and has won a HiFi Choice Gold Award, so you're getting a quality product.
