Description

On 'Don't Sweat The Technique', Rakim delivers some of his most socially - conscious rhymes. 'Casualties of War' directly reflects the Gulf War, which happened shortly before the album's 1992 release. Eric B broadens his production style, crafting beats that pack a punch while having a soulful, bluesy, and melodic touch. This creates a great contrast that benefits the album. Rakim is at his most aggressive, addressing issues like poverty, police brutality, and the crack epidemic. The smoother backdrop makes his tough lyrics stand out even more. The title track and 'Know The Ledge' (from the film 'Juice') are clear highlights, but also check out 'What's On Your Mind', 'The Punisher', and 'Rest Assured'. It comes as an opaque purple double - vinyl pressing from Geffen in 2018.

To use this vinyl record, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the groove. Sit back and enjoy the music. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface. After use, carefully place the record back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the record vertically in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust from the grooves. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials on the record as this can damage it.
