Once a Watts police officer told a grizzled scrapyard dealer in a maroon cardigan, 'Be cool. The fuzz is your cuzz.' Now, Edan has become a fuzz master, with his beats, thoughts, and creations full of fuzz. Humble Magnificent has transformed into Humboldt Magus, using psych rock fuzz and distortion. A 1.5 - minute interlude feels like a slice of a 40 - minute epic. On 'Making Planets,' Mr. Lif gets all mysterious, talking about strange things like worms from orifices. Percee P makes a great cameo on 'Torture Chamber,' along with the Dells and the Bob Seger System. 'Promised Land' is a cosmic delight with strings, not in a cheesy indie rap way. This LP includes the previous single 'Fumbling Over Words That Rhyme,' 'The Science Of Two' with Insight, and 6 other tracks. It's a truly unique album.
