Our dear friend and fellow Scot, For Mankind (Russ Forman), now an Ibiza and Pikes resident DJ, has long wanted to do a studio collaboration. Inspired by our shared love for house, dub, and unique dance music from African Head Charge, Larry Heard, and Sun Ra, we spent hours digging through records and chatting about music before hitting the studio. The result is an amazing blend of our tastes - dreamy, minimal, techno - like synthscapes, New York - style oddball house, and a touch of Música Popular Brasileira. Russ surprised us all with his loose, funky vocals in pidgin Spanish. His message? This music is for everyone. Our friend Hanna (Philomenah) also shines on the Brazilian - influenced 'I Can't wait'. This is a mellow, experimental, and balearic full - length LP from Athens Of The North's East Coast Love Affair. It comes as a black vinyl pressing under the Athens Of The North music label in 2022.
