Originally released in 2011, Lumiere is Dustin O'Halloran's third solo LP and his first for FatCat's 130701 orchestral imprint. His earlier works, well - received, showed his talent for elegant and intuitive music, like his score for Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. For Lumiere, he takes a big step forward in timbral palette and harmony. The album features guests like NYC's ACME Quartet, Adam Wiltzie of Stars of the Lid, and Peter Broderick, adding rich textures.
