D-Styles: Heavy Petting Breaks LP

Everyone knows D-Styles' records have been a hit since Sqratch Fetishes. This LP is no exception, offering a diverse collection of skratchable beats. Side one begins with old - school drum machine beats and then shifts to heavy spy - like sounds. The flip side starts with a dirty downtempo electro beat, followed by a traditional drum - only loop and some hard electro. It ends with a slow, one - bar heavy electro kick and snare locked beat (the other side ends with a locked tone). Like his other records, the skratch sentences are well - placed. There are a couple of video game sound sentences and one of the best drum snippet sentences in a while. A solid release from Funk Shit Up in 2002, reviewed by the mgmnt in 12/2011.
