Description

Data Discs, in partnership with SEGA of Japan, is thrilled to present a special vinyl release. For the first time ever, two arcade classics - 1988's Galaxy Force II and 1987's Thunder Blade - are together on vinyl. Composed by Koichi Namiki, Katsuhiro Hayashi, and Tohru Nakabayashi, these soundtracks use a funk and fusion style. They simulate real - world instruments like synthesizers, drums, slap bass, and cowbells, which was amazing considering the time and hardware. There's even a coded slap bass solo! Each soundtrack takes up one side of the LP and they blend perfectly. Galaxy Force II has a bonus arranged version of Beyond the Galaxy, produced by Hiroshi 'Hiro' Kawaguchi. It features a full studio band, brass section, and a keyboard solo by Hiro. The Thunder Blade side includes three unused tracks. This limited - edition vinyl is 180g transparent yellow, with remastered audio. It also comes with a lithographic art print and an obi strip. Music label: Data Discs 2017.

To use this vinyl LP, simply place it on your turntable. Make sure the turntable is clean and in good working condition. Lower the tonearm gently onto the record to start playing. When you're done, lift the tonearm carefully and return it to its rest. To keep your vinyl in great shape, always handle it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store it upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Clean the record regularly with a record cleaning brush to remove dust and debris. This limited - edition vinyl is a special item, so take good care of it to enjoy the amazing arcade soundtracks for years to come.
