Cursive's big - break might have been 'Domestica', but before this 2000 hit, the Omaha, Nebraska band had released two LPs. 'The Storms Of Early Summer - Semantics Of Song', first out in 1998, is their second album and the band's first try at a concept album. With themes of 'Man vs. Nature' and 'Man vs. Self', it features intense guitar work and emotionally - charged lyrics. While not as polished as 'Domestica', it has aggressive grooves and strong melodies. Must - listen tracks include 'The Rhyme Scheme', 'The Road to Financial Stability', 'Tempest', and 'Break in the New Year'. This 20th anniversary edition comes on clear vinyl with white swirls and is from 15 Passenger Records (1998 / 2017). Reviewed by Rei Kwondo in 1/2018.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on your turntable, gently drop the needle on the record, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or oils on the surface, which can affect the sound quality. After each use, put the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from scratches. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping. If the vinyl gets dirty, you can use a soft, anti - static brush to clean it. And remember, this is a special 20th anniversary edition, so take good care of it to keep it in great condition for years to come.
