Crumb / Locket: When you listen to
Crumb, it's like imagining cows and barns swirling in a tornado, just like in
Wizard Of Oz. This LP combines Crumb's first two self - released cassette EPs from 2017. For a long time, these were only available at the band's shows. Sometimes, a few copies would show up in their online store, only to disappear and then reappear on second - hand sites at crazy prices. The self - titled EP on side A mixes jazz, psych, and indie rock in a unique way.
Lila Ramani's voice on “Bones” and “So Tired” is both bluesy and cute, while “Vinta” shows off the band's jazz skills before shifting to a psych style with a motorik groove. On the
Locket EP, the band makes big improvements, with even more catchy grooves and an intoxicating atmosphere in each track. “Locket” is the highlight, with a great bassline and amazing production. “Recently Played” is cool and relaxed, and “Thirty Nine” is an awesome extended psychedelic jam. It reminds you of the early
Blonde Redhead, recent
King Krule works, or the
Toro / Mattson 2 album. This is the first time these two EPs are widely available, pressed back - to - back on a single LP with art from each release on the sleeve. It's a must - have! Using this Crumb / Locket vinyl LP is super easy. Just place it gently on your turntable, make sure it's centered, and then lower the tonearm onto the record. You're all set to enjoy the amazing music. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound quality. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. If you notice any dust on the record, use a soft, anti - static brush to gently clean it before playing. And remember, there's a strict limit of 1 per customer, so place your order carefully.
